Bad Mom Moment

Today is the kid's 6th day of school. I just now remembered that I forgot to take his picture on the 1st day of school, a tradition every year since kindergarten. I keep telling myself that I forgot because my school started two days earlier. It's not working. I feel like a bad mom!

Classroom Pictures

Please excuse the crappy quality of the pictures I took with my Blackberry. I can never remember the camera! There are no pictures of my desk because it's covered in an avalanche of papers!

Shopping

Shopping today was an adventure. We went EVERYWHERE! Ikea, Target, the mall, Walgreens, Marshall's, and Old Navy. I think that's it. I actually purchased very little, and left very aggravated. People continue to amaze me with their selfishness and stupidity. Now, there isn't one particular incident to report, just the general 'feel' of the shopping public. Pushy and Rude!

It doesn't help that it's hotter than blazes today, and that the fitting room mirrors amplified EVERY flaw. And I'm not just talking about the flawed body, but the face too. The Marshall's mirror seemed to highlight every blemish and spot on my skin.

I did take a little time for myself and I got a pedicure, and for that I'm thankful.

Another Quiz

While poking around on other people's blogs, I found a fun quiz over at Simply AnonyMOM.

Here's my not so fabulous results and a link:

People Like You... Sometimes

You are liked, but only when people are able to overlook your faults.

Deep down, you are a good person, but you definitely have some obnoxious tendencies.

So step back, and try to figure out when people aren't responding to you positively.

A few simple changes could make you a lot better liked!

What People Don't Like About You:

People don't like that you are judgmental and overly opinionated. Even if you are always right, they don't like to be reminded of it!

People don't like that you put others down and like to gossip. They are worried that you also gossip about them!

People don't like that you secretly are annoyed by them. You may think they can't tell, but they can.

What People Like About You:

People like that you give them complements. You make people feel good about themselves!

People like that you take responsibility for your actions and admit your mistakes. They appreciate your maturity.

People like that you're interesting and intriguing. You always have something interesting to say.

I can't believe I forgot to tell you about the trumpet!

We are now the proud renters of a TRUMPET! The kid already plays (and I use that term loosely) the guitar, now we've got the freakin' trumpet. I'm going out of my mind!
